Hyundai Entourage Chosen As Best Minivan
The newest award and accolade given to the Hyundai Entourage minivan has just been released and, indeed, it is going to yet be another feather in the cap for the car manufacturer. MotorWeek, one of the auto industry’s best sources for auto news and trivia, has just given the “Best Minivan” title to the mentioned vehicle. This award is part of its 2007 Editors’ Choice Awards.
Such an award was given to the Hyundai Entourage during the 2007 Chicago Auto Show. Of course, it is not a surprise to find quite a sum of awards given out during such auto shows for most car makers would be there to show off the best of their wares. Now, since the Hyundai Entourage has been the lucky choice and winner for the title, it would be given quite a huge special in the MotorWeek episode which would be aired on PBS on the 10th of February. But it is also important to note that the Kia Sedona was also given the same title for this year.
John Davis, the MotorWeek creator, host, as well as producer, tells the public, “MotorWeek's 2007 Drivers' Choice Award for Best Minivan goes to a duet, the Hyundai Entourage and Kia Sedona. This second-generation Korean-branded design matches all the best features of its rivals, and then beats them in price and powertrain warranty. The leaps that Hyundai and Kia make in perceived quality with each new vehicle are well documented, and the Entourage and Sedona are just the latest examples. From school bus to apartment moving, minivans are the most versatile vehicles on the planet, and this two-some is tops.”
On this, John Krakcik, Hyundai Motor America’s vice president for strategic planning and product development, expounds, “Since its introduction last year, Entourage has earned a number of honors and awards including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's top five-star crash test rating and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's highest honor -- the gold 'Top Safety Pick' award. We proudly accept the MotorWeek award, which recognizes the Entourage's spacious interior, powerful performance, and unsurpassed standard safety technologies.”
Sure enough, despite the Hyundai Entourage minivan having just the most basic features and doing without additional AEM parts, it would not come as a surprise if the vehicle still gets the mentioned title. Being attributed to the Best Minivan title is sure going to give Hyundai quite an increase in the minivan’s sales.
